Not a valid Lightning Invoice or Address

If you scan an address or invoice that is not valid you will receive an error from your wallet.


The accepted address formats for Lightning payments are:

  • Lightning Invoice - Starts with "lnbc"
  • LNURL address - Starts with "lnurl"
  • Lightning Address - Looks like an email address eg. [email protected]


The accepted on-chain BTC address formats are:

  • Legacy - Addresses start with a "1"
  • Segwit - Addresses start with a "3"
  • Bech32 - Addresses start with "bc1"


Please note that legacy and segwit address formats may be valid on other chains.

DO NOT SEND COINS FROM ANY FORKED VERSION OF BITCOIN TO YOUR WALLET OF SATOSHI - THEY ARE NOT RECOVERABLE.

Wallet of Satoshi accepts BTC only.
